TJ Orphanage Trip
Our College Group gathered around 40 college students to spend a Saturday serving the El Faro Orphanage in Tijuana. Our main goal was to help the orphanage complete their driveway so they could use the space for vehicles and such. The men of our group spent all day slaving away in the hot sun making and pouring concrete while most of the ladies cooked, played with kids, taught them a Bible verse, did crafts and sang songs. The orphans love to hang out with Floodsters (that's our nickname for people who attend Flood Church).

Flood Youth Group Retreat
Noel and Adam led the youth group on a weekend retreat in Big Bear, CA. As you can see in the pictures, the theme was "Superheros!" It was a weekend filled with the necessary balance of fun games and serious conversations.
College Retreat
This years theme for the college retreat was How the West Was Won. Adam Klekowski and Adam Wright :) were our speakers. It was at Calicinto Ranch in San Jacinto and there was plenty to retreat to. Between the horse back riding, line dancing, dirt volleyball and the best camp food ever, we had a great time discussing personal values and how they will direct our lives. On Saturday night of the retreat, we had a very personal time where students voluntarily stood up and confessed things that were holding them back from serving God and/or just things they needed to share. It was a powerful time of vulnerability and healing. After each student shared, we all proclaimed "we hear you, we see you, we love you." Talk about community.

SDSU BBQ
Last spring we put on an outreach at San Diego State University where we gave over 500 students either a BBQ hamburger or hot dog. The day was geared towards inviting students to Flood Church, to College Group and to just show God's tangible love to hungry students on campus! We had walls showing what Flood does as a church, free cotton candy and BBQ!
